The Southern Cross is very proud to present the "Artist's Gallery"
As the name suggests the gallery is a place for artists. Specifically local NZ artists. The gallery continues the Cross' vision of supporting the local culture of Te Aro and offers artists a place to display and sell their work. Going one better the Cross takes no commission and gives them a whole month to show off their stuff!! Choooice.
This Months' artist is Steve Maddock from the National Tattoo Museum. As a tattoist, Steve has an invested interest in making art which fits the human form - come down and check out some of his 'body sheets' which are also used by tattoo artists to draw up a potential tat for a customer, but in this case are works of art on their own! Cheers Steve.
