Kindy, gym, swimming, tot's ballet... great for the kids but hardly intellectually stimulating for you... 

Here at the Cross we know how hard it can be to find a place to relax and get together with others over the age of 4 so we've done our best to help you out.

The Perfect Space:

Chill-out with a coffee while your kids are entertained in our brand new Guest Room; choc-a-block full of toys, games and coloring activities. Kid-friendly staff on hand to help out.

With our full lunch menu and great kids menu we've got you covered!

Drop in anytime between 10am and 1pm, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and we'll set you up!

Professional Massage Therapist!

Yep, every Tuesday from 10-12 we will have our Professional Massage Therapist in The Guest Room to help you relax and give you a break from the kids for a few minutes...and it's free!

Kids parties at The Cross:

Is it time to celebrate a special young-un's birthday but you've had a full-on week, just cleaned the house and the in-laws are coming to stay? It might be time to give us a bell here at The Southern Cross. We take all the hassle out of the cooking, cleaning, hosting and entertaining side of things (for parties of 10 or more kids), so that you can kick up your feet and have a coffee and a chat with little friends' mums and dads while the mayhem is managed by our helpful kid-friendly staff. Facepainting and crafts can be arranged by us and any extra entertainers/ment that you may wish to bring would be fine with us. We have no problem with cakes brought from home (especially if baked by Grandma!). Listed below is our kids party menu - feel free to enquire about any changes/additions etc that you may wish to make;

Kids' party food - $10 per head will get you:

Cheerios and T sauce

Snax crackers & dip

Popcorn

Jelly boats

Fruit and marshmallow kebabs

* We'll even throw in fairy bread on the house!

Sundays: World Famous in Wellington...Facepainting!

Every Sunday from 10.00-2.00 we offer free arts and crafts, a bit of good company and of course facepainting for the little ones. Bookings advised.
